Word Up by Willis on CSI (originally by Cameo)

So my wife and I heard a really cool version of Word Up by Cameo on CSI last night. We found out the version you hear on the show is by a band called Willis. It was on the CSI episode called Post Mortem during the scene where the lab tech Hodges is doing a little robot dance while he’s waiting for some test results. Only CSI can make waiting for a piece of paper seem cool.

The song is kind of a bluesy downbeat chillout version of Word Up. Don’t waste your time looking on Itunes or anything for the Willis version of Word Up. It ain’t on there. We must have worked Google over for about an hour trying to find out how to buy the MP3. We found only one place to buy and download the MP3, which is on Clickgroove. It’s also on 2 different CD’s on Amazon… Willis: Take You High and Rewind! 4, which is a very cool compilation CD which also includes a similar style version of Seven Nation Army by White Stripes.

Ok, that’s all until I find another song that’s tough to find.
